Welcome and greetings from the Department of Physics, Comilla University, Cumilla, Bangladesh. The Department of Physics started its journey on 16 January 2011. Department of Physics, Comilla University offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree. About 230 students are studying at undergraduate level. The department has 11 faculty members (Associate Professors, Assistant Professors and Lecturers), who are well known for their academic and research excellence. Three of the faculty members have achieved their PhD degree from the reputed universities of home and abroad. The members of the Physics Department are committed to our priorities of Teaching Excellence, Research & Experimental learning and Community engagement to provide state-of-the art teaching to the students and service to the nation.

Studying Physics is cool and fun. The study of Physics helps us to realize and understand the nature around us in the world. Through Physics we can learn about the smallest elementary particles to the largest scale of the universe. The laws of fundamental Physics involve in all spheres or even the structure of the universe itself can be the subject of Physics. The knowledge gain through our Physics Department enables students for leadership positions in both academic and industrial research and to meet the competitive employment needs of the high-technology establishment. We always try to maintain a friendly and highly cooperative environment for students and researchers to help them to reach their best potential. We are concerned to expand and update the curriculum at regular interval to include topics of current interest.
