Dr. Md. Rashidul Islam Sheikh is currently serving as a Professor, Department of Public Administration and Director of IQAC, Comilla University, Cumilla, Bangladesh-3506. He received the B.S.S (Hon's) degree and M.S.S in Public Administration from the Department of Public Administration, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2002 and 2003 respectively. He completed M. Phil in Public Administration (Local govt. structure and functions), University of Dhaka and awarded Ph.D. Degree from Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA), National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok, Thailand-10240. He is also contributor of a good number of research papers in different national and international reputed journals and wrote two books. His area of interest is local government, governance, budgetary politics and expenditure, public policy and quality education, policy analysis.
