On Sunday, April 4, 2021 the Department of Mathematics, Comilla University, organized a day-long scientific seminar (webinar) on “Recent Advancements in Applied Mathematics: Seminar-I” in the memory of world eminent mathematical physicist Professor Emeritus Jamal Nazrul Islam.

The seminar was presided over by Professor Dr. Khalifa Mohammad Helal, chairman of the the Department of Mathematics, while Associate Professor Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahbub was the moderator of the program. CoU treasrurer Professor Dr. Md. Ashaduzzaman was present as chief guest while Dean of the Faculty of Science Dr. Dulal Chandra Nandi was present as special guest.

Around 120 participants from home and abroad took part (virtually) in that seminar. Five eminent scientists (national and international) presented their recent research in that seminar.
